Check-in at our hotel is at 3 PM. Check-out is at 12 PM. A late check-out, until 2 PM, can be added to your reservation for an additional fee of €40.

You can call us or send a message and we will make the reservation for a late check-out.

Hotel parking spaces are pre-bookable and available in limited numbers. Parking 25 €/night. We have three parking spaces with electric vehicle charging. Parking with EV charging 40 €/night. Please let us know that you would like an EV charging space when making your parking reservation. The parking space is available from 3 PM on the day of arrival and until 12 PM on the day of departure. If you wish to use the space earlier, you will need to book it from the previous day at an additional charge of 25 €. Parking can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival.

Bicycles can be safely stored in our locked storage room.

Please note that our courtyard parking spaces are uncovered and fairly narrow. Unfortunately, our sloped and cobblestone courtyard does not currently allow for accessible parking. However, accessible parking is available at the city parking area in front of the hotel.

In front of the hotel you will find the Rihkamatori parking area, where you can pay for parking using the EasyPark app, for example.

Pets are welcome in rooms from the Large room category onwards (not in Small or Medium rooms). We charge 35 € per night for pets. The price covers a maximum of two pets. As we have a limited number of pet-friendly rooms, please let us know the number and size of your pets in advance in the additional information field when making your reservation.

You are responsible for your pet's wellbeing, as well as any damage or costs it may cause during your stay.

Pets must not cause disturbance to other hotel guests.

Use of our atmospheric attic sauna on the top floor is always included in your stay!

The attic sauna is open on weekdays from 7 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 9 PM, and on weekends from 8 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 9 PM. Please note that the sauna is a unisex sauna, so we ask that you wear a swimsuit or towel. Towels are also available in our changing room.

In the evenings from 6 PM to 9 PM, the minimum age for the sauna is 12 years.

Yes, you can enjoy spa treatments with us, either alone or as a duo together! We work in collaboration with RELAX-Center.

Please book your treatments no later than 24 hours before your arrival.

Our hotel does not have its own gym, but access to a nearby gym is always included in your stay.

You can collect your gym pass from our reception

Our accessible entrance is through our restaurant door. You can move around our premises without accessibility barriers.

Please remember to book our accessible room when staying with us.

Unfortunately, our courtyard parking is not suitable for accessible parking due to the cobblestone surface and uneven ground.

You can! Porvoo bus station is just 400 metres from our door. You can reach us by bus directly from Helsinki and Kotka. Check the timetables here.

The name RUNO came to us for many reasons. Our national poet J.L. Runeberg spent his first night in Porvoo in the very same neighbourhood where our hotel stands today. Porvoo was at that time a centre of cultural life among poets and writers.

We also believe that just as in poetry, where every word is a carefully considered part of the whole, every detail at RUNO has been designed with equal care.

And we hope that when visiting us — just as when reading poetry — you can take a moment to step outside your everyday life, visit another reality, and pause in the present.
