RUNO BIANNUAL
RUNO is a stage for Finnish art, an exhibition open around the clock, where you can enjoy art in a warm and welcoming setting. The exhibition is curated by visual artist Fanny Tavastila.
Our current exhibition, RUNO Biannual IX: In The Presence of Summer, captures the emotional landscape of summer. You will find the exhibition catalogue in our lobby and are invited to explore the group exhibition featuring works by six different artists.
RUNO BOOK
Take a moment to step back in time and explore the history of the streets of Old Town. Read about the first visit of our national poet J.L. Runeberg to Porvoo, right here in the neighbourhood where you are staying with us. Discover how RUNO became RUNO. The book RUNO, written by Tero Liukkonen, can be found in every room at RUNO Hotel Porvoo.
RUNO LIVE
We regularly host a variety of events at RUNO Hotel Porvoo. Once a month, our Jazz Brunch brings live music into the weekend, while RUNO Bar offers an intimate setting for live performances.On selected weekends, you can also join workshops ranging from creativity and art to relaxation and embodied practices.
RUNO RETREATS
Our retreats are designed as the perfect escape from everyday life, moments of care and renewal where you can explore, learn, and try something new. Create with your hands and allow yourself to fully arrive in the experience, while everything else is taken care of for you.Retreats are held in Finnish.
DESIGN
We love small, soulful details: objects that carry their own story and meaning long before us. Our interiors feature many restored and repurposed pieces. From flea markets, we have sourced vintage Arabia ceramics, egg cups, shot glasses, and pitchers, beautiful everyday objects made to last. Small details with lasting meaning.
